SSCA currently has the following open positions:

  • NOW ACCEPTING TEACHER APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

    • Multiple full-time openings for elementary & middle school teachers

    • IL Teacher Certification required

  • Part-Time Kitchen Assistant

    • Mondays-Thursdays up to 15 hours/week when school is in session

    • $15/hour

    • Converted Christian believer in Jesus Christ who lives a life devoted to following God’s Word

    • Be a member/regular attendee of a Christian church

    • As needed basis, 7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

    • Associates degree needed (preferably in education)

Qualifications: All applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Converted Christian believers in Jesus Christ who live a life devoted to following God’s Word  

  • Must accept without reservation the statement of faith of South Side Christian Academy

  • Be a member/regular attendee of a Christian church

  • Have a heart for ministry and a godly love of children

  • Certified to teach elementary/middle school grades by the state of Illinois preferred

  • Be able to perform each essential task of managing, establishing, organizing, and instructing a  classroom that provides a quality learning environment for students

  • Be willing to listen and respond to counsel

  • An attitude of dedication, commitment, and flexibility
